World Birth Defects Day

On March 3, 2023, the National Birth Defect Prevention Network (NBDPN) will join the world to celebrate World Birth Defects Day (#WorldBDDay) with the theme "Many Birth Defects, One Voice," as this day recognizes our collective voice in raising awareness for all birth defects. #WorldBDDay unites people and organizations working in the field of birth defects, also known as congenital anomalies, congenital disorders, or congenital conditions. #WorldBDDay also aims to mobilize resources and commitment to improve birth defects surveillance, research, prevention, and care.

In collaboration with Teratology Society, MotherToBaby, and The North American AED Pregnancy Registry, NBDPN would like to present this video for World Birth Defects Day. Every year, millions of babies around the world are born with a serious birth defect. In many countries, birth defects are one of the leading causes of death in babies and young children. The goal of World Birth Defects Day is to expand birth defects surveillance, prevention, care, and research worldwide.
