2025 NBDPN Surveillance Data Report

April 22nd 2026 - webinar presented by Nicole Lindsey, MPH, focused on the 2025 NBDPN Surveillance Data Report and national estimates for selected birth defects. 2025 Surveillance Program Performance Summary/Landscape Analysis Webinar

Perfect for individuals newer to birth defects surveillance programs, program management, and/or the NBDPN Birth Defects Surveillance Guidelines, this webinar will provide a beginner level introduction to the updated chapters. Focused on the primary objective of birth defects surveillance, this webinar will cover important information that pertains to establishing and maintaining a surveillance program, the NBDPN case definitions, data elements, and the case ascertainment process. Guidelines for Experts

This webinar is geared towards individuals with historical knowledge of birth defects surveillance and experience in using prior versions of the NBDPN Birth Defects Surveillance Guidelines. We will provide an in-depth review of changes and guidance in the NBDPN Birth Defects Surveillance Guidelines revision. This session will identify unique elements for surveillance programs including considerations for development of enhanced and extended criteria. Dashboard Development

This webinar will be a presentation on the NBDPN dashboard currently under development. The dashboard will focus on information from the 2025 NBDPN Data Call.
